The Laboratory of Nutritional Metabolomics (LNM) led by Dr. Chi Chen investigates the metabolic events in the microbes treated with IPL and also analyzes potential chemical changes in powdered food treated with IPL using an integrated analytical approach.
About the LNM
The LNM conducts mechanistic investigations on the chemical changes in food and the metabolic changes inside the body. The lab is currently equipped with the advanced high-resolution liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry systems (UPLC-Xevo-G2-S-QTOF and UPLC-SYNAPT-G2-Si-IMS-QTOF) and multivariate data analysis platform for both targeted chemical/metabolite analysis and untargeted chemometrics/metabolomics analysis.
